Choose photos that look like you
Start with one clear, front-facing photo and add 2–4 different everyday photos of yourself. You must be 18 or older. Better references improve the chance of a useful likeness; no input guarantees a perfect result.
Before selecting a photo
- Face a window or another soft light. Avoid a bright window behind you.
- Keep your full head and chin visible. Your face should be easy to inspect without zooming.
- Use one person per image. Keep both eyes visible; avoid sunglasses, strong lens glare, filters and motion blur.
- Keep your usual glasses or head covering if you want them in your portraits. Add a reference with less glare if the eyes are hidden.
- Choose photos from your current appearance. Do not mix different people or old and new hairstyles unintentionally.
What our checks can tell you
We check photos on your device for common lighting and detail problems. Available checks vary by browser and can miss issues or flag a good photo. They do not confirm your identity, age or likeness. Check that your face and both eyes are clear; replace any photo you are unsure about.
iPhone / HEIC photos
JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported. If an iPhone HEIC/HEIF photo will not open, convert it to JPEG in your phone or photo app, then select it again. Keep the full-size original; renaming .heic to .jpg does not convert it. A failed local conversion does not upload the photo.
File limits and privacy
Select 1–6 files, up to 6MB each and at least 512 pixels on each side. A prepared JPEG is stored locally for up to 30 minutes to preserve your draft through sign-in. Use Clear draft on shared devices. Photos upload only when you start a paid generation. Read how photos are processed.
